Whether you’re planning a wedding, corporate event, bar mitzvah, or any event involving music, you can count on me as your Wedding DJ or Special Event DJ to guarantee it will be one that your guests won’t soon forget.  DJing is more than just playing music.  It’s about being able to bring your friends and family together for a night full of fun, dancing, laughing and helping to create amazing memories and helping YOU with your special moment or special message. 

I started DJing over 22 years ago and in 2016 I decided to become fully self employed and go Full-time with my DJ career, doing something that I love and have a passion for as a means to support my family.  I believe that it is my purpose in life to share my love and passion of music with others while bringing a new modern and creative approach to weddings and life events in the Albany area .  I consider myself to be a happy, high energy, positive person with a down to earth likable personality.  

I believe that it’s important to find a DJ that not only fits your budget and can do a great job, but also to find a DJ who fits your personality and plays well with others.  I’ve heard all too many stories about DJ’s with big ego’s and DJ’s who don’t work well with other vendors.  I’m all for Community and NOT Competition!  I pride myself in my unique ability to work well with your other vendors so that your wedding goes off without a hitch.  I will keep open communication with your photographer so that they can be ready to capture that awesome moment and I will also be sure to keep your venue or caterer in the loop so that your meals come out warm and on time.  I promise to never have an ego and always put you first!

When you hire SoundFormula, you will get access to our proprietary event planning tool called Vibo.  Vibo is a convenient phone app that works as a fun and unique event planning and music selection tool to help you build the perfect soundtrack.  Together, you and I will collaborate through Vibo and during our creative event kick off and planning meetings to make sure that every last detail is just the way that you want it.  I will personally take the time to get to know you and get to know what you want and expect in order to make your wedding uniquely yours.  

Punctuality is HUGE!  I always arrive 2-3 hours before your contracted start time and before any of your guests arrive which provides me with enough buffer time to run a sound check, troubleshoot and make sure that everything sounds GREAT!  Don’t worry, you don’t pay for this additional time!  A true professional should understand sound and how to make your event sound amazing!  I will make sure that your guests will be able to hear the DJ and any toasts or speeches clearly without being ridiculously loud.  I keep your guests in mind and adjust the volume accordingly so that you and your guests can have a pleasant and social cocktail hour and dinner break while enjoying great music and quality sound.

My goal is to pack your dance floor and help you create those memories while making sure that you have time of your life. I pride myself in my unique ability to mix and transition from one song to the next while giving your guests what they want and keeping your overall vision my highest priority.  Your guests came to dance, party and have a great time and celebrate with YOU and I want to help make that happen. 


It’s important to find a DJ who is able and willing to read your crowd by paying attention to body language, engagement and other subtle cues in order to keep the energy up.  Previous clients have told me that they admire my ability to respond well to guest requests with a warm welcoming personality and being able to adjust on the fly.  I truly care!  I want to do my part to alleviate any stress or concerns that you may have.  All you have to do is just show up and have fun!

As a DJ who loves to have fun, but also knows when to take this business seriously, I continue to attend several annual DJ Seminars, Conferences & Workshops to learn and keep up with the newest trends to provide you with fun and new creative ideas.  Keep in mind, you’re not only booking a DJ, but also a Creative Event Host (MC) and a laser focused event planner of sorts.  As your Creative Event Host, I do my best to keep your guests engaged and informed with wedding party introductions, dance floor engagement and what to expect next.  With several years of refining my skills as a public speaker and event host, I promise to keep it fun and classy and NEVER cheesy, inappropriate or over the top.  I spend months leading up to your special event practicing the names of those important people that will be introduced at your wedding to ensure that everyones name is pronounced correctly and concisely.
