UPLIGHTING
SoundFormula Entertainment’s Uplighting is programmable to create some really amazing light shows! Let us create a light show that compliments your vision with two tone uplighting, custom color fades, lighting transitions, sound reactive lighting, and much more!
UPLIGHTING IS NOT ALL THE SAME!
Some of the older uplighting by many companies and venues still use halogen bulbs which can get hot to the touch and can only create limited color combinations with Red, Green & Blue color mixing. I have invested heavily into the BEST wireless LED uplighting. Being LED, the bulbs are cool to the touch which is perfect if you plan on having children at your event! RGBAW+UV uplighting can create a wide range of colors with Red, Green, Blue, Amber, White & Ultra Violet and any combination of colors that can be mixed together. Want White, Amber, Candlelight, Robin Egg Blue, Mint Green or another custom color? I can achieve virtually any color that you can think of.
WIRELESS UPLIGHTING
Being that our uplighting is wireless, you never have to worry about long runs of wiring around your room, taped down with unsightly black tape and best yet, NO TRIPPING HAZARDS. Short on electrical outlets? Tent Wedding? Need outdoor uplighting? No problem! Since our uplighting is wireless, you don’t need to plug them into an electrical outlet and they can be placed virtually anywhere to create that WOW factor!
Our Uplighting is also programmable to create some really amazing light shows! Let us create a light show that compliments your vision with two tone uplighting, custom color fades, lighting transitions, sound reactive lighting, and much more!
INTELLIGENT LIGHTING
Intelligent Lighting, also known as “Moving Heads” or “Movers” are very versatile lights that can be used for several applications to create some interesting lighting effects at your next event. You’ve most likely seen them used at big concerts, night clubs and other high production events.
Dance floor lighting is essential in helping to create energy and set the mood on the dance floor at any wedding, birthday party, corporate event or anywhere that you wish to have an exciting party. With so many options out there, it’s easy to get lost in the sea of lighting terms like “Uplighting“, “Gobo’s”, “Monograms”, “Wash Lighting”, “Spinners”, “Movers” and “Intelligent Lighting”.
WHY YOU NEED INTELLIGENT LIGHTING
Intelligent Lighting, also known as “Moving Heads” or “Movers” are very versatile lights that can be used for several applications to create some interesting lighting effects at your next event. You’ve most likely seen them used at big concerts, night clubs and other high prodcution events. Unlike most DJ lights that just need to be plugged in to operate and do the same thing each and every time, Intelligent Lighting requires programming ahead of time to create some customized mind blowing light shows. Because of the lights ability to pan, tilt and rotate on a motorized axis, thes lights can be used to move projected sound activated beams of colored light across your dance floor to create the mood for dancing. Looking for something a little more elegant? We can program the light to stay stationary or follow you on the dance floor to spotlight your grand entrance, first dance and parent dances in a white spolight. We can even use these lights to project a bunch of tiny dots on the ceiling to create a “Dancing Under The Stars” effect and of course we can get crazy and use these to bring the dance floor to life!
10 Questions To Ask Your DJ
10 Questions To Ask Your DJ
1. Are you insured? Can you supply me with proof of liability?
Many responsible business owners carry liability insurance to protect their businesses and the consumer. Many locations are beginning to require proof of liability. Ask for proof of liability insurance. Disc Jockey’s receive a Certificate of Liability, which can be used as proof.
2. How much time do you allow for setup?
Punctuality is a necessity. Most Disc Jockey’s arrive at least one hour prior to the start time you’ve given them. Your entertainer should ideally be setup and in-place before your first guest walks through the door.
3. Will you be willing to play requests and discuss music ahead of time?
A versatile Disc Jockey is willing to listen to your suggestions, give you feedback and play from your desired song list. A professional Disc Jockey will also accept the fact you may not want certain songs played. A professional Disc Jockey cannot know everything about your musical preferences and entertainment needs without communication.
4. Do you provide a written contract?
It is extremely important to have your booking confirmed in writing. Ask for a written agreement, especially if you are paying an initial retainer.
5. Do you use Professional Equipment?
Ask whether your prospective Disc Jockey works with professional audio equipment. If you are not sure, ask for their equipment list and check with a local music dealer or the A.D.J.A. to verify they are using professional-grade sound gear. Remember that professional gear does not guarantee an entertainer’s talent or service level, but is simply a tool for building an exceptional event.
6. Will you be suitably dressed for our occasion?
Specify the type of apparel that your Disc Jockey is expected to wear for your occasion. Formal attire or coat & tie are the most popular forms of attire. If you are having a “themed” event, make sure your entertainer is informed.
7. Do you provide backup equipment at my event?
Although equipment failure is rare, do you really want your special occasion ruined because your Disc Jockey did not come prepared? It is also important to know if your Disc Jockey has a back-up plan in case of illness or an accident.
8. Do you belong to a professional organization or trade group?
Although belonging to an organization or trade group does not guarantee the talent or professionalism of a disc jockey, it may indicate the company’s willingness to network, learn and grow. Disc jockeys can learn through local chapter meetings, national DJ conventions and seminars geared toward the entertainment professional.
9. Does the DJ know the proper etiquette for your type of party?
A professional Disc Jockey will assist you with the planning of your special day. Most professional entertainers will coordinate, emcee and provide the music that you desire. Ask if they have experience with your type of event.
10. Have you committed yourself to follow the ADJA code of professional conduct?
A full-service disc jockey company will normally invest 12 to 30 hours to your special event but it may appear that you are only paying for “4 hours”. Consultations, music purchasing & editing, preparation, set-up and teardown, education and other business related endeavors add up to the overall success of your special occasion.
